75th NCA National Specialty

My second show ever just happen to be at the Newfoundland National Specialty when it came to the West Coast (Monterey CA). We met the very best handler ever that weekend. His name is Jeff Heim. My class was huge with 30 Newfies! I made the first round of cuts which we were thrilled with.

How's my pose?

Reach and Drive...... Reach and Drive

After the show I got to see my very handsome brother Mr. Big
who came to watch the show and see ALL the Newfies.

Can you tell why his name is Mr. Big??

After the show we went to the ocean........

It's Show Time!

Ok, I got myself into my first show!
I'm so nervous I think I'm going to throw up on the way to Placerville.
I decided to just relax and shut my eyes and try to vision myself doing well.

Aunt Karen stacks my back feet........

The judge Patricia Gellerman looked at my teeth.......

We trot up....... and then back........

(I'm thinking "reach and drive"... reach and drive")

Ok this is the moment... I'm trying hard to hold my pose.

I hope she sees me way back here at the end of the line.

Guess who won? You guess it!
I won my class and then went on and won

Winners and Best of Opposite.

It's a great start to my Show Dog Career!

And who was there to cheer me on????? My brother Frankie!!!

Decisions, Decisions

I started thinking about what my brother Frankie said about Dog Shows so I watched a few on Animal Planet to see if that's something I might want to do.
Ummmm...... trot down and back, head high...

Hey, he just got a cookie for doing that...
Mom, I think I want to do this!

Yikes! You're not going to make me look like that are you??

A Playdate With My Handsome Brothers

Just a few months before turning one my brothers Frankie and Zito

We were happy to see each other.

Frankie had news....
He had become a SHOW DOG!

Otter told us pups to follow her and she'd show us the yard.

We followed her up the hill
Then......we decide to have our own fun!

Do ya give up Frank ???

While the boys took naps I found..............PUPPIES!!!!

My first year!

I was tough from the beginning... look at me get the best of this guy!
Mom and Dad are building "me" a pool in the backyard and I'm helping.
I discovered the Kings! I still enjoy watching my favorite team.
Those were the days... small enough for indoor baths.
I met my best friend Yogi! We're both the same age (but I'm bigger)
This one of my favorite places... Folsom Lake
I'm dressed and ready for my first trip to the snow.
It can get hot in Folsom but I have fun staying cool!
I'm still tough..... look at me get the best of this guy too!
Yogi and I are big enough to swim for hours now.
My first water rescue... and not even one yet!
Finally.... My first birthday. My how I've grown! Sophie
